Speech Therapist Vacancies Requirements:-
- Appropriate qualification that allows for the required registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in the Speech and Audiology profession. (RSA: No experience required after registration with the HPCSA in the Speech and Audiology profession in respect of RSA qualified employees who performed community service in Speech and Audiology profession as required in South Africa). Foreigner: 1-year relevant experience after registration with HPCSA in the Speech and Audiology profession in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform community service as required in South Africa. Knowledge: Public Service Act and Regulations. Batho-Pele principles. PFMA. Quality Assurance. Labour relations: Disciplinary and Conflict Management Procedures. Skills: Communication (written and verbal). Ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment. Interpersonal and Listening skills. Computer Literacy. Research skills. The following will be an added advantage: A degree in Speech Therapist or Speech Therapist and Audiologist from a recognized University. Experience in VFS/MBS, Alternative Augmentative Communication (Low and High Tech), Laryngectomy patients, Neurological disorders and TBI, Head and neck cancers, Tracheostomies and Voice disorders will be added advantage.
